How to Use the Elux ENE Legend 15K: Setup and Pod Swap

Elux ENE Legend 15K or another Elux device: check what you have

These steps are for the rechargeable Elux ENE Legend 15K pod kit only. Retailers say pods and containers from other Elux devices do not fit it, and they advise against third-party pods, so we do too.

What is in the Elux ENE Legend 15K box

Expect the kit with a pod already fitted, a separate container and a manual. The cable is the one item retailers disagree on, so check your own box.

Charging an Elux ENE Legend 15K before the first draw

Charge it first, through the USB-C port on the base. Start the charge first, then do the pod work while it runs.

The side screen shows the battery percentage, and three retailers agree on that. We could not find a charge time from the maker, so go by the percentage on the screen and the leaflet in your box.

How to fit the container on an Elux ENE Legend 15K pod, step by step

The container clips onto the base of the pod and feeds it. It is five jobs. Retailer guides describe the same sequence, so that is what we follow here. The leaflet in your box is final.

1. Take the pod out of the kit.
   
   
2. Pull the silicone plug off the base of the pod, and the cap too if there is one.
   
   
3. Open the 10 ml container by taking off its plug or nozzle cap.
   
   
4. Clip the container onto the base of the pod until it locks.
   
   
5. Slide the joined pod and container back into the top of the kit.

Think of the container as the pod's feed, not a bottle you pour from. The word "refill" misleads here, and the refill answer further down deals with that head on.

If it will not clip, stop and check the plug is really off. Do not push harder. That is shop advice, not a maker step.

 

Priming an Elux ENE Legend 15K: turn the kit upside down first

Once the container is on and the pod is back in the kit, turn the kit upside down for about 10 seconds, then stand it up. Three retailer guides agree on that figure. No longer wait is given in any of them, so we do not add one.

Priming gives the coil time to soak with liquid. A dry coil can taste burnt, and nobody wants that on the first draw.

 

How to use Elux ENE Legend 15K for the first time: just inhale

There is no button and no setting. Put your lips on the mouthpiece and draw. The kit is inhale-activated, with fixed airflow, and it is built for mouth to lung (MTL) use.

MTL means you draw into your mouth first, then breathe in to your lungs, much like sipping through a straw.

• If a plug is fitted on the mouthpiece, take it off first. One retailer mentions it, so we say "if fitted".

• If nothing happens, check the pod and container are fully clicked in.

How to change an Elux ENE Legend 15K pod pack

You change the pod and the container together, as one pack. Only Elux ENE Legend 15K packs fit.

1. Take out the used pod with its container.
   
   
2. Take the new pod and container from the pack.
   
   
3. Repeat the fitting jobs from the container steps above.
   
   
4. Turn the kit upside down for about 10 seconds, then draw.

A pack is a 2 ml pod plus a 10 ml container. The mesh coil is inside the pod, so you never change a coil on its own. Mesh means the heating part is made from a fine metal grid. Pods from other Elux devices do not fit, according to retailers.

 

Can you refill an Elux ENE Legend 15K yourself?

No. You swap in a new pack. Do not prise open, pierce or take apart a pod, a container or the kit. Do not add your own liquid either, whether that is freebase or anything from a bottle.

Some online listings say you can top the pod up by hand. We do not advise it, and we could not find any such steps from the maker.

A pod forced open can leak, and the coil can be damaged. The battery sits in the same device as the liquid, so a mess in the wrong place is a bigger problem than a stained pocket.

The 10 ml container is the only "refill" in this kit, and only in the sense that it clips on and feeds the pod. When the pack is used up, the whole pack goes and a new one goes in.

Change the pack when the flavour fades or turns harsh, not on a calendar date. Your own puffing decides it.
